DAN-LOC Bolt & Gasket recently created the DAN-LOC applications engineering team, whose objective is to offer comprehensive solutions to the unique challenges customers face within their respective industries.
The new engineering team will provide customer support and drive product and process innovation using lean/six sigma techniques from initial concept to routine product availability. DAN-LOC's quality is legendary in the industry, and now DAN-LOC's E-Team is available for your fastener or gasket technical challenges.

Larry Green
Vice President of Quality & Technology
Since joining DAN-LOC in 2004, Larry has focused on revitalizing the companys production capabilities through machinery rehabilitation, adopting new technologies and the identification and development of innovation opportunities.
With more than 25 years of experience in the oil and gas equipment manufacturing industry, he brings highly advanced manufacturing management skills and is DAN-LOCs chief proponent for lean manufacturing.
Before joining DAN-LOC, Larry rose through the ranks at Bowen Tools, Inc. to the position of Executive Vice President of Manufacturing. During his tenure at Bowen, he was a major contributor to the companys expansive U.S. and international business growth - highlighted by the installation of new manufacturing plants in Edmonton, Alberta and Toluca, Mexico.
After his tenure at Bowen, Larry spent two years with Cooper Manufacturing, a domestic drilling rig manufacturer. He also served as president of Big Three Services, Inc., a private start-up manufacturing company.
Having earned a Bachelor of Science degree from The University of Houston, Larry also completed Rice Universitys abbreviated MBA program. He is a member of the Association for Manufacturing Excellence and the National Oil-Equipment Manufacturers and Delegates Society (NOMADS).

Syed Ali
Quality Engineer
Syed has worked in the Quality Assurance department since 1998, joining the company after working for more than 20 years in the field of extractive metallurgy. During that time, he developed viable processes for winning of metals from indigenous ores.
At DAN-LOC, Syed is involved in dimensional verifications of special gaskets on 5 SaCMM and has added approximately 100 programs for measurement of gaskets from valued customers. His duties also include maintaining the calibration schedule of measuring tools and gadgets, performing in-house calibration of measuring tools, gadgets and ring gauges, and calculating the measuring uncertainty of all tools and gauges - which was the foremost requirement for obtaining his A2LA accreditation in 2004.
Syed earned a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering with a specialization in metallurgy and materials science. He is a Senior Member of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers and a Member of the American Chemical Society. In 1995, Syed passed the competitive examination on environmental specialist-1, administered by the State of New York.

Vien Ho
Manufacturing/Mechanical Engineer
Vien brings more than 10 years of experience with him to DAN-LOC. During his career, he has worked in Manufacturing, Mechanical Design, Manufacture Processing and Operations. Vien's comprehensive skill set includes AutoCAD, Solidworks, NX, and Pro-E for Mechanical Conceptualize Design; Six Sigma, 5S, Kaizen, and Kanban projects for Lean Manufacturing; and Compact Bravo II, Esprit, and WeinCAD for CNC lathes and mills programming.
With DAN-LOC, Vien is responsible for design and implementation of fabrication functions in support for the DAN-LOC Express and Main Plant manufacturers. He is involved in implementing Lean Manufacturing techniques on the shop floor; instituting continuous improvements of processes and products, reducing manufacturing lead time and products cycle time; developing and evaluating equipment and processes to create high quality products safely and at a competitive cost. In addition, he is responsible for resolving technical problems that affect quality, manufacturability, delivery and costs.
Prior to joining the company, Vien worked for companies in Dallas and Houston including Raytheon, Emerson and Smith International -- holding positions such as Manufacturing Production Specialist, CNC Programmer, Mechanical Engineer and Manufacturing Engineer. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and Engineering at The University of Texas at Arlington. Additionally, he achieved certification as a Raytheon Six Sigma Specialist.
